Thoughts
Shogun is my second most favorite fighter after Big Nog! I was so happy to him fighting somewhat closer to the way he used to fight in PrideFC. However, I think it's still too early for us to say he's 100% back. We still need to see him in a war with someone. I don't think he's ready for a rematch with Forrest or Jackson. Overall though, I'm very happy with the Win.
Chuck Liddell has never been one of my favorite fighters but he was always fun to watch. I have nothing against the guy, but I'm just not a big fan. That said, I totally disagree with everyone saying he's done. Sure, he's lost a couple of fights to some of the best fighters in the world. Why were we not saying the same thing about Randy "The Natural"? F Dana for forcing this guy to stop fighting. Below, Dana assures reporters that Chuck is done....
Canada proves again that it's one of the hottest places in the world, if not the hottest for MMA. We destroyed UFC records. There was lots of talk around a UFC event coming to Toronto for December of 2009. I wouldn't be surprised if we broke the current Canadian/world UFC attendance record of approx 20k and filled the skydome with 50k people.
